ARDMS SPI EXAM-SONOGRAPHY PRINCIPLES AND INSTRUMENTATION

The ARDMS SPI exam is the first step in earning future ARDMS credentials. The SPI exam tests the requisite physical principles and instrumentation knowledge, skills and abilities essential to sonography professionals and students.

To earn an RDMS, RDCS, RVT and RMSKS credentials, you must pass the ARDMS SPI exam and a corresponding specialty examination

ARDMS ABDOMEN (AB)

The Abdomen (AB) examination tests the requisite abdomen knowledge, skills and abilities essential to Sonography Professionals.To earn a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential with an AB specialty, you must pass the Sonography Principles & Instrumentation (SPI) examination and the AB examination.

ARDMS OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY (OB/GYN)

The Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) examination tests the requisite obstetrics and gynecology knowledge, skills and abilities essential to Sonography Professionals.To earn a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential with an OB/GYN specialty, you must pass the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) examination and the OB/GYN examination.

ADULT ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY (AE)

The Adult Echocardiography (AE) examination tests the requisite adult echocardiography knowledge, skills and abilities essential to Sonography Professionals.To earn a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential with an AE specialty, you must pass the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) examination and the AE examination.

VASCULAR TECHNOLOGY (VT)

The Vascular Technology (VT) examination tests the requisite physical principles and instrumentation knowledge, skills and abilities essential to Sonography Professionals.To earn a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential, you must pass the Sonography Principles & Instrumentation (SPI) examination and the VT examination
